About
The Vibe
The Harp and Celt is a two-sided Irish pub that has been anchoring downtown Orlando's soccer scene for over 15 years. Located at 25 South Magnolia Avenue, the pub houses The Soccer Republic, a dedicated soccer viewing space that has become the definitive destination for football fans in Central Florida. The architecture alone sets it apart from typical American sports bars. Walking in feels like stepping into an actual European pub, with tall vaulted ceilings, slate floors, elegant woodwork, balcony seating, and the kind of detailed craftsmanship that takes years to develop character.
The Setup
The pub operates as two distinct spaces. The Harp side has the feel of a pub in the Irish countryside, with lower ceilings, wood booths, wood floors, and a calmer atmosphere. The Celt side is the sports hub, louder and more boisterous, with tall vaulted ceilings and a balcony. For soccer viewing, the Celt side features 5 HDTVs plus an imposing 8-by-10-foot HD overhead screen with surround sound. The Harp side has another 5 HDTVs. During big matches, the Celt side fills fast, but the Harp side usually has more space if you need a slightly quieter viewing experience.
Match Day Experience
The Soccer Republic at Harp and Celt shows Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga, MLS, and Champions League fixtures throughout the week. Orlando City SC matches are a particular draw, and the pub's location within walking distance of Inter&Co Stadium makes it a natural pre-game and post-game destination for Orlando City and Orlando Pride supporters. Several local supporter groups call the pub home. On big match days, especially Premier League morning fixtures and Champions League nights, the Celt side reaches a fever pitch that lives up to the building's grand architecture.
Food and Drink
The kitchen turns out authentic Irish and British cuisine that goes well beyond standard pub fare. The steak and mushroom pie, with bite-sized pieces of steak simmered with mushrooms in a rich burgundy sauce topped with flaky pastry crust, is a standout that earns consistent praise. Fish and chips features flaky white pollock in traditional crispy batter served with steak fries. The full Irish breakfast is available for early morning matches. The bar pours a proper Guinness and offers a full drinks menu with Irish whiskeys, craft beers, and cocktails.
Who Goes There
A genuine cross-section of Orlando's soccer community: Orlando City season ticket holders using the pub as a pre-game ritual, Premier League supporters who have been coming since the pub opened, tourists who stumbled in from nearby hotels and discovered their new favorite bar, and a strong contingent of European and South American expats. The two-sided layout naturally separates the rowdy match-day crowd from those looking for a more relaxed experience, which means almost everyone finds their spot.
Insider Tips
For Orlando City match days, arrive early since the pub fills up well before kickoff due to its proximity to the stadium. The Celt side is the better spot for atmosphere during big matches, but if you want a guaranteed seat, head to the Harp side. Parking downtown can be challenging on event days, so consider rideshare or the SunRail. The steak and mushroom pie is the move if you are ordering food. For morning Premier League fixtures, the pub opens early, and the full Irish breakfast with a pint is one of the best ways to start a Saturday in Orlando.
